Your neighborhood is going to flood again. Look at the map prepared by hydrologists under contract with the state of Washington showing Centralia and your neighborhood in the 2007 flood. All of the community shown in yellow checks would not have flooded if the flood retention facility had been in place. Right now the Lewis County Flood Zone district is planning a water retention facility that would protect your home. This facility would only activate and retain water during flood events.
